Beginning Orchestra is open to all 4th and 5th graders. Beginning Orchestra is split into two groups, one group meets on Tuesdays and the other group meets on Wednesdays. Both groups meet from 2:40-3:40. By the end of the first year students will be able to play simple songs an read simple melodies. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Francis.

STEM Club is before school on the first Monday of every month from 7:10-7:50. STEM club is open to students in 2nd to 5th grades, and it encourages building, mathematical thinking and problem solving with thematic units.

The Green Power Team is Open to all students in grades 3-5. The Green Power Team builds, designs, makes presentations, and will eventually race a Green Power Car! The Green Power team meets on Wednesday afternoons. Mrs. Wilkes and Ms. Clements are the Green Power sponsors, and the first meeting will be the third week of September. Reach out for an interest form if your child would like to join!

The Yearbook Club is for 5th Grade students who apply to be on the yearbook committee. Each student who applies must have a teacher
recommendation. Students in Yearbook learn about photography, graphic design, and the yearbook online design platform. Contact Mrs. Wilson for more information, she will reach out to 4th and 5th grade students who are interested. -
The Archery team is open for tryouts for all 4th and 5th grade Midtown students. The students who make the team practice on Mondays and compete in several tournaments throughout the school year. Last year, our team made it to Nationals! Tryouts will be in October. Be on the lookout for more information from Coach Hossler!

Chess club is for grades 1-5. There are two teams, the recreation team and the competition team, with 25 spots on both teams. There are multiple tournaments throughout the year, including one hosted at Midtown. Competition team members must attend at least 3 tournaments. Chess club meets on Thursdays from 2:45-3:45. Contact Ms. Cantrell and Ms. Loggins if you are interested in Chess Club. The deadline for sign up via Google Doc is Friday, August 9th.

The Midtown Musical gives students in 2nd through 5th grade the opportunity to grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance through a full-scale musical production each year. Students work hard for months learning music, choreography, acting, and stage performance while building friendships and unforgettable memories along the way.
Our previous production, Finding Nemo Kids, brought incredible energy, talent, and school spirit to the stage and showcased the dedication of our students and staff. Because of the high level of commitment and preparation involved, students participate in auditions and casting selections are made for the production each year.
The Midtown Musical is directed by Mrs. Elizabeth Neal and Mrs. Mackenzie Rogers, who are passionate about creating meaningful experiences that help students shine both on and off the stage
Auditions will be in October.

Student to Student (S2S) is our student ambassador program open to 5th graders. All students who are interested must apply and have a teacher recommendation.

FCA takes place on the second Wednesday of each month. Students will meet in the STEM Lab before school on the second Wednesday of each month. Students hear each week from speakers who encourage athletics and faith. Mrs. Rader and Coach Garner are the FCA Sponsors, the first meeting will be on September 11th in the STEM lab.

Math team is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. Any student interested is required to take an qualifying exam to make the team. Math team meets every other Wednesday and participates in various tournaments throughout the year. Mrs. Slinn is the math team sponsor. The qualifying exam will take place on August 26th.
