Welcome to the Midtown Library Media Center Page! We are so glad you are here!
More than just a place to check out books, the library is designed to inspire curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning in every student.
Students are welcome to visit the library throughout the school day to check out books and explore their interests. Kindergarten students may check out one book at a time, while students in first through fifth grade may check out two books. The media center also partners collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide lessons and learning experiences connected to curriculum goals, technology skills, digital literacy, and student interests.

Mrs. Neal serves as the Library Media Specialist at Midtown Elementary School. Before becoming a librarian, she taught third grade for six years, where her passion for helping students discover a love of reading first began.
Mrs. Neal believes the library should be a place where every student can find books, experiences, and opportunities that spark curiosity and confidence. She loves creating engaging library experiences through themed lessons, technology integration, reading programs, podcasting, makerspace activities, and creative school-wide events that help bring learning to life.
Her goal is to create a library environment where students feel welcomed, inspired, and excited to explore new ideas every time they walk through the doors of the Midtown Media Center.
